The Membership Services staff are responsible for providing customer service to new and prospective members, completing sales, registrations, and refunds. They will also assist with the administration of the Member Services office and team store.
This position will work on-site at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Sonnentag Center, a major athletic, recreation, and event center, set to open summer of 2024. The new Sonnentag Center will serve as a venue for university and community events, concerts, and home to Eau Claire Men's and Women's Athletics.
Core Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests; provide facility tours to prospective members Provide membership and program information and assist with membership, enrollment, and billing questions Recommend programs, services, and membership options to prospective members Process sales, registrations, and bookings through member management and POS software Keep abreast of programs and services to accurately register participants Answer phone, direct calls, and provide information to callers Maintain inventory and merchandise displays in team shop Update records in member management software and on CRM platform Assist with reporting by providing data Assist with clerical duties and events Attend regular meetings Education and Experience: Current First Aid, CPR, AED certification or ability to obtain Customer service experience preferred Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service skills Willingness and ability to enforce policies and resolve conflicts Basic knowledge of computer skills with the ability to learn new software Ability to handle several tasks at once with frequent interruptions Work Environment Office environment/fitness center environment Moderate to loud noise Scheduled shifts, may include weekends Physical Demands Standing or walking for at least 50% of the work day Must be able to discuss, converse with, and exchange accurate information with patrons, staff, stakeholders, etc. Occasional bending, stooping Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
