The Psychiatrist is responsible for assessing and prescribing medication for mentally ill and Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) patients in the JBP program. This includes maintaining compliance with the company's Policy & Procedure (P&P) Manual and relevant state regulations.
Provide intensive psychiatric treatment for patients currently incarcerated at Clark County Detention Center awaiting placement at forensic state hospital and/or returning from forensic state hospital. Initial psychiatric evaluations to be completed within 3 business days. At least once weekly patient contacts and participation in treatment team meetings. Work closely with program administrator to ensure compliance with benchmarks and screening of patients enrolled into the program. Availability for necessary administrative meetings. Education
Education associated with licensure as a Psychiatrist in the state of employment. Experience
One + year experience as a licensed Psychiatrist Previous experience with restoration of competency patients preferred Licenses/Certifications
