Responsibilities
• Maintain order and supervise the conduct of clients/patients• Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property• Provide general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care• Facilitate the rehabilitation of clients/patients• Establish effective therapeutic relationships• Recognize symptoms requiring medical or psychiatric attention• Think and act quickly in emergencies• Work with a treatment team to provide therapy programs• Keep appropriate records• Analyze situations accurately and take effective action
Requirements
• Ability to learn and apply sound judgment• Apply basic nursing knowledge, skills and attitudes• Clear medical and psychiatric conditions• Valid Psych Tech License• Pass drug screening and background investigation• Work a minimum of 96 hours per month• Scheduled work on primary shifts• Work 48 hours during the weekend• Adhere to Central Staffing Office scheduling
