Psychiatric Social Worker

Sterling Medical is seeking a Psychiatric Social Worker to provide services to the active duty Coast Guard Service Members at Camp May Training Academy.
Qualifications: Diploma from an accredited School of Social Work and a Masters or Doctorate Degree in Social Work. Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Current certification in the field of Social Work. A minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience within the past five (5) years. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Responsibilities Include: Conduct assessments utilizing various techniques for the purposes of determining mental health and treatment plans. Develop, review, and implement treatment plans for are of behavioral health conditions. Treat outpatients using a range of clinical skills to provide recommendations for lifestyle and behavioral changes. Update medical records. Maintain open and professional communication with staff and Commands. Plan, develop and maintain referral and coordination services with other mental health resources and social service agencies to provide optimal care. Provide immediate notification of medical emergencies to the Medical Department. Provide coordination of care for referral management Monitor rates of mental health related behavior and resource utilization. Hours of Performance:  Mon-Fri, 08:00am – 4:00pm
