Summary of Duties: Under the general supervision of the Common Service Manager-Protocol & Events, the Protocol and Events Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of assigned official mission, third party events as well as logistics for high level visitors to New York. The incumbent provides coordination of ongoing program activities to include developing and tracking budgets and contracts with multiple third party stakeholders, coordinating logistical requirements, responsible for intermediate level set up and operation of small to large-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems quickly as they arise and making recommendations to event hosts based on scheduling, technology capacity and resources. The incumbent will provide coordination and administrative support services (75% of the time) and technical support (25% of the time) in direct support of program objectives and goals.

Minimum 2 years of recent experience* customer service or hospitality experience; Recent experience* organising events and client visits; Experience in financial administration including budgets and the preparation of reports. *Recent is defined as within the last five years. RATED REQUIREMENTS The Rated Requirements are part of the essential qualifications and are relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview (online pre-recorded/live or in-person), role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of corporate event or conference organization principles; Knowledge of general office procedures and practices, including correspondence; Knowledge in troubleshooting technical issues of audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment; and Knowledge and proficiency in working with Word, Excel, and Outlook, research, Zoom/teams and mobile platforms. An intermediate level proficiency (oral and written) in French Recent experience* organising events and visits with VIP delegations/high-level clients. *Recent is defined as within the last five years. Operational Requirements:
Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with the Locally Engaged Staff (LES) regulations of 37.50 hours per week in the office. Overtime, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, will be required with advance notice.
Conditions of Employment:
