Accentuate Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Accountant to join a client in Wake Forest, NC. The Property Accountant will play a key role in managing leasing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and handling various accounting aspects related to property operations. The ideal candidate must have real estate experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in QuickBooks, with eventual transition to Great Plains. This is a remote position, but candidates must be local to Raleigh, NC or surrounding areas.
Responsibilities: Take ownership of leasing activity, including managing lease agreements, rent collection, and lease escalations.Maintain accurate lease records and ensure timely and accurate billing of rents and additional charges.Prepare financial reports on a property level, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Manage all accounting aspects related to property operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support the conversion from QuickBooks to Great Plains and assist with the implementation process.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Significant experience in property accounting and real estate operations.Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Great Plains is a plus.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and lease management.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and reporting on a property level.Experience with PNC accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
