Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting close for the property management company and managed properties.
- Execute various general ledger accounting tasks in a complex, multi-entity environment, including developing, documenting, and posting journal entries.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts with meticulous documentation.
- Analyze large datasets to derive financial insights, including variances to budgeted and prior period amounts.
- Collaborate with the Property Accounting Manager to prepare management reports and review procurement card transactions.
- Assist in improving accounting practices, policies, and procedures across our portfolio.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Uphold policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Contribute to system implementations and manage sales & use tax filings and business license requirements.
- Undertake additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 0-3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong general ledger accounting skills and knowledge of internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in real estate or multi-unit businesses is advantageous.
- Public and industry accounting experience is a plus.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
FLSA Status: Exempt
