About the Role: Perform program and project management services that support the existing Parks Asset Management System (Lucity).
Manage implementation of the Parks Standards and Services Levels (SaS) project.
Manage and coordinate the staff resources required to establish the park's asset inventory.
This is an incredible opportunity to grow in the area of project management, most specifically related to services that support the Parks Asset Management System (Lucity) and implementation of future related asset management projects. Supporting the Parks Asset Management System will provide an opportunity to learn about many different aspects of Parks Resource Management, including operation and maintenance methods, capital project implementation, and property management.
This position performs work remotely and onsite.

Job DutiesWhat You Will Be Doing: With minimal supervision, manage the scope, schedule, and budget for the Parks Standards and Services Levels (SaS) project, including regular reporting on project status and tasks, and responding to inquiries related to the project.
Coordinate collection of asset data for the Parks GIS-based asset management system (Lucity) by organizing and managing asset data collection with Parks Specialists (frontline staff) as well as Lucity Asset Management Team Technicians, Analysts, and Interns. This asset data will be used for the SaS project.
Participate in the collection, inputting, and maintenance of the asset data in Lucity using tools such as ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, Lucity Mobile Application, Excel, and SQL.
Coordinate with King County Information Technology staff on any GIS, geodatabase, and relational database updates needed in Lucity and ArcGIS Field Maps for asset input and collection.
Manage and coordinate other tasks related to the Parks GIS-based asset management system.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, SkillsQualifications You Bring: Demonstrated experience independentlymanaging and monitoring project schedule, scope, and budgets for small to medium-sized projects (i.e., projects up to $500,000) similar in scope to the Parks Standards and Service Levels (SaS) project OR demonstrated experience assistingwith project management on larger projects (i.e., projects over $500,000).
The ability to use ESRI ArcMap or ArcGIS online mapping software to create maps and analyze data sets.
Intermediate user of software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel to organize and analyze large data sets.
Proven skill with written communications and technical writing.
The ability to collect data on a trail or in a park using a hand-held mobile device.
Demonstrated understanding of basic operational and maintenance methods for parks or for similar public infrastructure such as roads, utilities, or buildings.

Experience or training with Parks Natural Resource Management Plan methods and procedures.
Demonstrated experience independently managing projects over $1,000,000 that are similar in scope to the Parks Standards and Service Levels (SaS) project.
Supplemental InformationWorking Conditions: Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically 2-3 days per week. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including parks and the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department's vision of Green Where We Work.
Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance of King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.
Union Representation:This position is not represented by a union.
Duration: This recruitment aims to fill a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position with an anticipated end date of up to two (2) years. If the position is filled by a King County employee who has successfully completed their initial probation, they will be offered the role as a Special Duty Assignment.
