Position Summary: The Project Officer will serve as a Data Manager/Compliance Officer for the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED). The position will largely include working with data from large genetic and clinical studies conducted at CEED including developing data systems; data dictionaries; preparing data for upload to national repositories; and maintaining quality assurance, IRB compliance, and sponsor compliance of all ongoing studies.
The UNC CEED is a combined research and clinical facility focused on research and treatment of eating disorders. The center has funding from a variety of federal and philanthropic sources and conducts research ranging from epidemiology to clinical trials. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Strong and demonstrated data management skills. Proficient with REDCap, R, and SAS, and other data management software. Experience working with databases. Experience with IRB proposals. Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and excellent dedication to documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
