Responsibilities The role of the Project Manager is to oversee work in progress for jobs assigned to him/her and to ensure that it is completed in a timely and profitable manner. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible to ensure workflows are being followed, reviewing all project billing, and ensuring all project-related meetings are scheduled as required on assigned projects. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the Sundancer team to provide the seamless working environment required to meet customer and company needs. Lastly, assist in any other tasks assigned by your supervisor. Below are the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position:
1. Operational Responsibilities Award-To-Start Project execution plan development (permits, RFI's, PLA's) Documentation and scope of work review (schedule, material buyouts, equipment rentals, subcontractor contracts and PO's) Internal kickoff meeting (with the estimator, foreman, and document team) GC/Owner kickoff meeting Site visit with a foreman Project Execution Change Management Material Management Labor Management Subcontract Management Customer Management Schedule Management Customer Communication and Coordination Progress Billing and Pay Application Accuracy Project Close-Out Punch-List Management O&M Delivery Commissioning Final Forecast Lessons Learned Meeting with Team 2. Financial Responsibilities Budgeting Establish a Control Budget in coordination with the Operations Manager Included in this process are the budgeted cost, hours, and production quantities across all the cost categories (e.g., Labor, Material, Subcontract, Equipment, Other), Cost Codes, and "Logical Areas of Work" (e.g., Buildings, Floors, Rooms, and the like) as required by the project. Cash Flow The Project Manager is responsible to ensure that all project billings are executed, efficiently, accurately, and timely Material, Subcontract, Equipment, and Labor cost control is ultimately the responsibility of the Project Manager Profitability The Project Manager is ultimately responsible to ensure that every project meets or beats the estimated profit after the initial Control
Budget and Schedule of Values or NTE Values have been established Forecasting (Cost-To-Complete / Cost-At-Complete) The Project Manager is responsible at least once per month to project the Cost-At-Complete, Profit-At-Complete 3. Talent Development Responsibilities All employees of Sundancer are expected to provide mentorship for peers and subordinates wherever appropriate Construction Knowledge Commercial, Industrial, and Transportation construction as it relates to electrical contracting. Know the electrical products and equipment used 5-10+ Years of Electrical Contractor PM-specific Experience The applicant must have verifiable experience with this specific geographical area. What area does he/she live in? We need to look at their commute Specific knowledge base This position requires knowledge and experience with specific systems common to the electrical industry. This should include the Power, voice data, fire alarm, security, medium and high voltage systems, control and instrumentation, and fiber optic tools and equipment
