A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER The Project Manager contributes to company goals of production timeline, revenue targets, customer service, and relationship growth by managing vendors, sub-contractors, processes, efficiencies, and expenses within the production department. The Project Manager will be held accountable for the activities of the production department to his/her direct report through both written and verbal communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall management of the project Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills; must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education, economic levels, and roles within an organization. The Project Manager must demonstrate skills in developing programs and solutions for projects, project managers, sub-contractors, and vendors for each assigned Job . A leader that is self-motivated, responsible and accountable Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detailed oriented person) Evaluate and communicate the need for change orders to owners and subcontractors, Project Directors and Construction Manager Prepare daily and weekly notes and reports, documentation, and other job-related administrative documents Ability to recognize and solve problems independently Work with Project Supervisors to resolve problems as discovered Create and maintain job activity paperwork and Jobsite inventories Review material selections with clients, ensure selections are within budget, and obtain sign-offs Follow and enforce all policies, procedures, and regulations as dictated by the company, state, and federal entities Additional duties required as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work Computer literate; MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal code applications and how to determine code requirements Knowledge of industry policies and procedures Knowledge of budgeting and cost control Communicate well, verbal and written Perform in a way that best represents the standards and interests of the company Have high standards of professional conduct with Clients, Subs, and in-house Must be able to pass a background, DMV check and have a clean driving record Minimum 5 years experience in the restoration industry, with experience/knowledge in water, flood, fire, smoke, mold, and asbestos remediation IICRC Certifications in WRT, ASD and mold a plus The position is NOT 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday - We operate in Emergency Services, First Onsite, and serve our customers 24/7. Weekend and after-hours work may be required Must be willing to travel locally or regionally, as business needs dictate Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold or wet and sometimes unsanitary. Every effort is made to protect our employees through the use of PPE and other safety precautions. A valid and current driver's license required Must past a "fit test" for proper fit of respirator (could involve shaving facial hair) Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more Able to stand without accommodations (assistance) for long periods (up to 8-10 hours a day) May encounter hazardous job site conditions of all kinds.
