Responsibilities
• Provide management oversight of the RPVR technical systems• Oversee and facilitate all project actions, including design, acquisition strategy, engineering, construction, and commissioning• Manage project work breakdown structure, schedule, cost estimates, risk register, and baseline change control• Establish project-specific management policies, procedures, standards, and training• Communicate and report project status and performance information• Lead interface with major construction project stakeholders• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility• Align behaviors, priorities, and interactions with core values• Deliver ORNL's mission• Foster a respectful workplace
Requirements
• BS/BA degree in Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field• Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in project management• Operating nuclear reactor management experience• Proven success in managing engineering teams and design in reactor facilities• Exceptional communication skills• Thorough understanding of applicable DOE Orders and best practices• Well versed in construction, operations, R&D, and business systems• Experience with DOE nuclear facilities projects• Comprehensive understanding of nuclear technology• Experience with neutron instruments• Project experience working with DOE projects within the Office of Science portfolio• Experience with project management software/systems• Experience with isotope production or similar technologies• Experience with DOE Office of Science Independent Project Reviews (IPRs) and EVMS surveillance reviews
