Job Title: Project Manager - Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metal Fabrication
Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in structural steel and/or miscellaneous metal fabrication to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the steel fabrication industry and possess the ability to oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project progress against established goals.Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, and effectively communicate project status updates to stakeholders.Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project specifications are met.Implement quality control measures throughout the fabrication process to ensure products meet industry standards and client expectations.Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the structural steel fabrication industry and/or miscellaneous metal fabrication.Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and assembly techniques.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication.Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.Professional certifications in project management or construction management are desirable but not required.
