Siemens Electrification and Automation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrification & Automation (EA) Product Trainer to join our growing team as we expand our global Power Academy footprint in the US.The Power Academy is in start-up mode, and it's a very exciting time to join this new team. Power Academy opens its doors to participants in January 2024. It will also be a part of our brand-new Customer Experience Center, which is currently under construction. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation for the value we will bring to our employees and customers.We are looking for a Project Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC but can be remote.Overview:The Siemens Project Management Office (PMO) is looking for a Project Manager (PM) to join our team in Electrification and Automation (EA). As a PM, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, from project initiation through final closeout. You will work in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the EA PMO executes a diverse portfolio of projects; including medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. The PM role comes with ample opportunities for growth, reflective of Siemens mission to empower people with a growth mindset. As a customer facing team, we keep customer satisfaction at the forefront as we manage large projects in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.Responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project execution. Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.Proactive Risk identification and Mitigation.Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.Manage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projectsDirect diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.20% Travel required (national and international)You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college3+ years of relevant experience managing similar portfolios.Relevant experience in Power distribution industry either Medium voltage or High voltage.Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft ProjectDemonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logisticsExperience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within projectAbility to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes and develop innovative solutions for execution.Preferred Qualifications:Project management or engineering internship or related work experience in Power distribution industry.Basic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive marketDemonstrated ability in contract and change management.PMP certification as a plusPMP certification is required within 1 year of employmentYou'll benefit from:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
