Manages the development and implementation of projects/programs to meet business process initiatives, process improvement, product launches, other strategies and objectives. Analyzes existing project management methods to promote effective operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods.

Conducts risk assessments, facilitates communication across operational groups, and ensures compliance with the defined process and/or implementation.

1-Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers

2-Initiates, plans, executes, and controls project efforts

3-Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations

4-Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration

5-Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks

6-reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle

7-Identifies and gains allocation of project team resources

8-Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures

9-Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes

10-Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures;

11-Provides recommendations for operational efficiency and process improvements subject to management review in support of change.

12-Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation;

13-Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results

14-Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status

15-Project Manager I - Leads smaller and/or less complex projects under close to moderate supervision; 16-Reporting and communications typically occur within the team and direct management

17-Project cycle of typically less than 1 year

18-Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays & cause inefficiencies of a team

19-Projects are typically individual or Intra-organizational (multiple depts); although some smaller corporate projects may affect business unit(s) or entire company.

20-Budget management is typically limited to costing

21-Project Manager II - Leads medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision

22-Reporting and communications typically occur with team and key stakeholders

23-Planning of resources for tasks, allocation, estimation, & scheduling

24-Project cycle of typically 6- 18 months

25-Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays & cause inefficiencies of a team and may cause unnecessary expense affecting operational results

26-Projects typically span across organizations (depts.) but may also directly affect business unit and/or entire company

27-Budget management typically includes costing & tracking of status

28-Project Manager Sr. - Manages the most complex, most strategic projects under minimal supervision

29-Reporting and communications typically occur with team, key stakeholders and senior management 30-Full accountability for planning of resources for tasks, allocation, estimation, scheduling and risk management

31-At higher levels, may directly manage people

32-Project cycle of typically 1-3 years

33-Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies or unnecessary expense that measurably affect operational results of a

business or the efficiency and effectiveness of a team

34-Projects typically affect business unit(s) and/or entire company

35-Budget management typically includes costing, tracking of status and resolving cost issues

Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline; some disciplines may only require Associates degree.

Generally 3 to 5 years experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas Influence/People Leadership - Primary input to hiring, performance, and rewards decisions for a group of service, production, or support employees, perhaps assisted by subordinate team leaders or senior individual contributor employees; Primary contribution is supervising other people (rather than applying knowledge); Supervises support, production, and/or lower level professional individual contributor employees directly or indirectly; Schedules work for optimum efficiency and productivity; Provides day-to-day work direction; Schedules and approves vacation and overtime; May be a project or process manager without direct reports responsible for influencing and coordinating with non-reporting resources

Supervision - Typically supervises non-exempt support, service, and/or possibly lower-level professional individual contributor employees Span Of Control/Complexity - Activities may be more diverse and complex and/or may involve more than one shift or area OR may lead larger, moderately complex projects/assignments

Decision-Making Authority - In conjunction with higher management, ensures that work is performed consistently with

policies and procedures Financial - Contributes to development of an operating plan, budget, and performance goals (revenue and/or expense) for the work group(s) managed and the department of which it is a part; May manage elements/portions of a department or project budget Consequence Of Error - Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies, or unnecessary expenses and affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the people and/or the projects managed

Typical Problems Solved - Identification/application of solutions is more likely to be based on similar prior experiences, not on ingenuity; problems are generally clearly defined Core Functions - Assigns and checks work; Provides guidance and training;

Provides input to hiring, firing, layoff, promotion, reward, and other decisions; Manages overtime; Focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity, meeting service/productivity standards, and resolving operational problems and handling disturbances; Manages a small/medium size project team

Technical/Admin Work Performed - Almost fully focused on supervising service, production, or support work OR May manage a project or process that is more broadly defined of moderate complexity/scope
