KeenLogic is seeking a mid-level Project Manager/Content Lead to support a CAO enterprise-wide project, and CEC related activities and initiatives. This position will be on-site in Washington, DC offering full health benefits, 401K, PTO, and Life Insurance.
Background
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) exists as a non-partisan, non-legislative office that provides support services and business solutions to the community of 12,000+ House Members, Officers and staff. CAO professional, technical, and administrative staff provide finance, information technology, cyber security, procurement, logistics, and human resource services. Specific Business Units include Acquisitions Management, Customer Experience Center, Finance, House Information Resources, House Recording Studio, Human Resources, Logistics and Support, and Media Galleries.
The Customer Experience Center communicates, markets, brands, and delivers customer service to the House community. Customer Experience Management establishes and leads key efforts to expand and implement the customer experience vision of the CAO, create standards, and craft a roadmap for the governance and improvement of all CAO services.
Scope
The candidate will act as the Project Manager and Content Lead for one or more customer experience, service delivery, or online service request systems. Systems of note include the House Intranet (HouseNet) as well as a related service ticketing platform. The candidate will work closely with the Customer Experience team, the Communications & Marketing team, Intranet technologists, and service providers across the CAO. The candidate will work on other CAO projects as applicable.
Description of Work
The Project Manager will be responsible for hands-on support of the CAO's mission to improve and standardize CAO customer service experiences and digital service delivery platforms. The candidate will assist in developing and implementing revised content for the House's intranet, HouseNet. The candidate will work closely with the Communications Director, CX Director, and HouseNet Product Manager to develop and maintain web content for Members and employees of the U.S. House of Representatives. The candidate will initially focus on the review, development, and maintenance of intranet content. Additional projects will include collaboration on cross marketing and awareness campaigns for communications products spanning the web, print, newsletters, and social media.
The Project Manager should be able to plan, organize, monitor, and lead project management activities for varying projects using industry standards and best practices. Incumbent will ensure projects progress in a timely manner with established goals and appropriate resources to complete the project from start to finish.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages and completes projects on time, within budget, and within scope
Partner with internal subject matter experts to draft, edit, and maintain content for the House intranet, ensuring all content is current, accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and easily accessible to the House community.
Create content and write in a clear and concise manner on a wide range of topics, including financial services, information security, information technology, and more. This will include writing for intranet and external websites and a variety of media.
Provide consultative services to internal departments regarding communications and marketing efforts around their business units to include email campaigns, social media posts, and graphic design ideas.
Track all communications for adherence to CAO brand standards and work with stakeholders to bring proposed and existing communications into compliance where necessary.
Organizes, monitors, and leads project managements activities for varying projects using industry standards and best practices
Works with project team leads to collect and analyze project data throughout the project lifecycle and translate it into necessary project documentation and communications
Reviews deliverables prepared by team and ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Directly supports/participates in special limited term projects and initiatives as required.
Establishes and maintains policies and procedures; updates policies and procedures as necessary.
Performs other official duties and special projects as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant work experience in website project management or website product ownership, or 5 years of relevant work experience
Experience in project management methodologies from waterfall to agile/scrum
Experience working on product development teams with developers, designers, stakeholders, and business owners
Proven ability to create high-quality project management documentation that requires minimal editing and contextually accurate
Must be able to appropriately manage project documentation and ensure deadlines are met
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and leaders
Experience with project management and agile development software (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, MS Project)
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams and SharePoint
Excellent time and task management skills; Flexible and adaptable to new technologies, changing priorities and processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to operate effectively in team environments or autonomously, both remotely and in-person
Must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management
Preferred:
Experience in website or front-end design, information architecture, user experience design, user interface design, or similar field
Experience with website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics)
Experience with large enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS)
Project Management Professional certification
