The Customer Support Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames by performing the following duties personally or in cooperation with the Customer/Product Support/Regional Customer Support Managers.ResponsibilitiesWorks with suppliers, factory and Affiliates to develop and implement assigned projects / field trials.Develops and/or understands project plan(s) that include time-lines, resource planning and procedures for accomplishing project goals.Provides appropriate information to management to support assigned projects.Acts as liaison with outside agents or other organizations and individuals involved in assigned projects.Coordinates the activities of factory personnel in to ensure that assigned projects progress on schedule.Reviews the status of projects and advises the factory and Affiliates of changes that modify schedules or plans as required.Prepares project status reports for factory management (i.e., weekly, monthly, etc.).Coordinates and maintains field test agreements or prototypes, ensuring accurate information is provided to the affiliate/customers and timely inspections are reported to the factory as outlined in the agreement.Coordinates and/or assists in assembly projects.Communicates changes and progress.Completes projects on time and within budget.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Collects and researches data; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.Develops alternative solutions individually as well as in group problem solving situations. Follows policies and procedures and supports organization's goals and values.CompetenciesBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, low voltage D.C., high voltage A.C., electrical control systems, and diesel engines.Proficient in the use of project management software, preferably MS Project 2010 (Professional), Outlook software, Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings and schematics.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Skilled in using analytical and organizational skills for logistics coordination.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Energetic, flexible and highly organized.Travel domestically and internationally 20% of the time.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport.Ability to obtain/maintain regional and site specific safety certifications.Our OfferAn interesting and ambitious role in a successful international company.
