*This position is 100% ONSITE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
Several Integration teams within the Client are seeking experienced Project Engineers (internally known as Program Integration Managers, PIMs) to join our 737 MAX Development teams and make an immediate impact on urgent and long-term development, production and fleet support issues within the Puget Sound region of Washington.
This is a high visibility role with technical assignments that directly support the BCA Program's top-level goals, initiatives and challenges. The project engineer will be responsible for one or more projects and will provide technical, business and integration leadership for the Program on technical issues requiring cross-functional and cross-organization leadership. You should be willing to take on projects that you may not have a full technical understanding of, and stretch beyond your experience base. You will have opportunities to lead and collaborate with people from all over the world, to create and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical problems, while maintaining compliance with US and Foreign regulations.
o Be an integral part of supporting the 737 MAX model focusing on under development issues & opportunities.
o Lead special projects and initiatives in the areas of safety, certification and performance as well as program issues as directed by the Program Chief Program Engineer and Director of Engineering.
o Develop integrated plans, establish and lead teams, monitor and respond to technical developments throughout the development phase of a MAX derivative.
o Manage risk & opportunities, and support cross-functional & cross-Integrated Product Team issues.
o Lead cross-functional technical integration, certification and project management in support of resolving complex issues to help deliver airplanes, return airplanes into service, resolve supply chain issues, mitigate risks, actualize opportunities, delivery and production stream sustainability.
o Lead detailed investigations to ensure system integration and compliance, with requirements and to preclude safety issues.
o Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers (peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership), Regulators and/or suppliers.

o Flight Test Schedule Optimization
o Aero Certification / ETOPS
o Type Inspection Authorization
o Development Assurance
o Amended Type Certification
o Single & Multiple Failures
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o 8+ years' experience performing complex engineering or system integration work (strong systems thinking/background).
o 5+ years' experience in leading and/or managing complex projects.
o 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers and business partners.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Flight Test or Flight Sciences.
o Safety and/or Compliance experience (experience with Methods of Compliance).
o FAA & EASA Amendment impact (e.g., EASA Amendment 24).
o Airplane-level integration, high-impact issue resolution.
o Requirement's experience, i.e., DOORS expertise, experience writing requirement text, familiarity with validation and verification means, familiarity with decomposition of requirements, familiarity with tracing requirements.
o Experience with Certification, Type Inspection Authorization, and/or Amended Type Certification.
o Single & Multiple Failure (SMF) & Development Assurance.
o 5+ years of experience with Transport, Client 7-Series and/or McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.
o 5+ years of experience with US and/or foreign aircraft certification/regulatory processes.
o Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion or Systems Experience with certification, working with FAA regulations and Regulatory Administration.
o Adaptable and able to operate in a dynamic environment to meet objectives on time.
o Certification and/or experience working with FAA regulations and Regulatory Administration.
o Project Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI ******** ).
o Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize and communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple disciplines.
o Experience with leading major design changes through multiple phases of product and certification lifecycle.
o Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear. Take ownership/initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm and remove roadblocks.
o Good communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiatives without supervision.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
