Responsibilities YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership and technical support for New Product Development across multiple programs. Stay abreast of current technology to suggest product improvements and new product introductions. Tailor development plans to meet program specific needs. Provide inputs to aid in creation and maintenance of program master schedule. Help to generate/track risk register and its mitigation progress. Able to utilize information provided by the engineering team, identify the potential impacts, and make decisions on project related tasks. Work closely with Engineering and other team members to ensure all customer requirements and internal requirements are addressed. Responsible for tracking compliance matrices to ensure method of verification and risk reduction is tracking for program success. Able to review customer level specs and be able to decompose and allocate derived requirements and performance parameters to different engineering groups. Identify any changes in the original scope and any non-compliance and communicate the impact to Engineering Management and Project Management. Work with RF, DC, Digital and Mechanical Engineers to find solutions to difficult technical problems and understand the constraints for a project. Perform failure investigations and provide root cause on any production unit failures or quality escapes, including closing out Corrective Action Reports and provide technical solutions or preventive measures. Maintain standard process for failure investigation and ensure process is followed. Log lessons learned entries when there are failure investigations and/or corrective actions assigned. Ensure lessons learned process is followed and proper information is captured. Communicate regularly with Project Management to prioritize resources and to provide accurate project schedule estimates with technical understanding of the tasks involved for engineering to provide deliverables that meet customer expectations. Coordinate with assigned project team to ensure Tech Data Package is accurate, complete, and on time for assigned projects. Understand design lifecycles including design for manufacturability and test. Evaluate preparedness for design reviews for each design gate such as PDR, CDR, and other tasks within a design cycle against defined entrance/exit criteria. Be a point of contact for the Engineering Department for assigned projects with other departments, customers, and vendors. Coordinate with the project manager to track assigned project status using Microsoft Project to ensure project meets agreed upon schedule, addresses any schedule impact, and provides a recovery plan. Able to schedule and forecast resource needs for a project with all the resources and time needed. Generate standard input on ETCs and standardize time required for tasks based on risk. Able to track similar tasks and projects between standard forecasted labor duration, against actual labor duration and assign margin based on design risks to get project labor forecasting closer to project labor actuals. Collaborate with all subject matter experts and Engineering Management to define and implement processes and procedures that will lead to successful execution of engineering projects. Coordinate with the assigned project team to provide part information to the Project Manager to ensure all necessary parts for any development project are specified and ordered and select substitute parts as required. Qualifications HOW TO SUCCEED To join us you'll need:
Minimum Requirements: Eight (8) years or more of experience in a specialized functional discipline. Security clearance is required or the ability to obtain one. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio), other engineering software packages a plus. Preferred experience with PLM software experience.
Salary Range: $118,364.00 - 147,956.00 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
