Spectra Tech is hiring a Project Cost Accountant in Aiken, SC.Responsible for accurate approval and reporting of project-based financial transactions.Duties include cash flow, accounts receivable management, and budget oversight.

Responsibilities
• Review, approve, and manage project expenses from proposal through payment.• Ensure expenses are in accordance with budget, project terms, and finance requirements.• Generate and submit customer invoices and track until payment is received.• Monitor project task completion, purchasing, and material control activities.• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliation and open order reporting.• Retain services of project subcontractors, fabricators, and vendors within budget.• Prepare reports on project-based criteria such as P&L and cash flow.• Work with sales team to understand project scope and approve pricing and budget.• Monitor and reconcile GL and balance sheet accounts for accurate recording.• Optimize use of ERP system and work on other related projects as required.
Requirements
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company.• Minimum 3 years of project accounting experience.• Familiarity with full cycle accounting and project-based financial statements.• Proficiency in using an ERP or MRP system.• Thorough knowledge of contract terms and conditions.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.• Analytical, detail-oriented, and independent thinker.• Organizational and time management skills with problem-solving abilities.• Prior experience with Government Contracts and WAWF system is a plus.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Monitoring commercial terms and conditions.• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
