Responsibilities
• Provide support on environmental and mine site projects• Conduct soil and groundwater characterization• Perform vegetation transects and avian surveys• Monitor water resources activities, seeps, and springs• Conduct Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments• Support field planning, data analysis, and client document preparation• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed• Interact with contractors, regulators, and clientele• Prepare project reports and complete administrative tasks• Summarize field data in reports for review
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Biology with emphasis on botany, ecology, and related fields• Ability to traverse up to six miles a day in moderate terrain• Ability to lift 50 pounds• Technical writing competency• Strong technical and computer skills• Self-starter, quick learner, and effective communicator• Ability to work individually and as part of a team• Ability to work long days in adverse weather conditions• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills• Problem-solving and organizational skills
