The Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) at the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Project Administrator to join its team. The project administrator will w o rk with principal investigators of the Gateway to Global Aging Data study (g2aging.org) to manage and develop online resources that capture and communicate the rapid evolution of policies and environmental factors affecting older people across the world . The project administrator will work with multidisciplinary, international research teams and will be responsible for coordinating staff and research groups, ensuring accurate and timely release of documents and data, and other study responsibilities as required. A major component of this position will also include assisting a principal investigator coordinating a team that collects historical long-term care policies across countries and states in the US. An ideal applicant will have expertise in the long-term care policies of multiple countries or states, editing experience, and demonstrated ability to learn about these policy areas and manage teams.
Job responsibilities include: Acquiring a s t r on g unde rs tandin g o f country-specific differences in social, environmental, and economic policy. Leading the collection, interpretation, and documentation of complex information on country-specific policy related to long-term care. Countries will include those in the European Union and United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Malaysia, Brazil, and Chile. Coordinating a tea m to collect and communicate policyinformation for a research audience and create data products based on that policy information for a broader audience to include policymakers and stakeholders. Project management tasks such as assisting with managing budgets, organizing meetings and conferences, and coordinating study communication. Providing guidance to other research staff, student workers, and interested researchers/stakeholders. Reviewing and editing policy information and data products produced by the team. Develop approaches for concisely communicating country-specific differences and changes in long-term care policies. Participate in writing of reports, research papers, articles, and other documentation of project status and/or administrative activities or project results. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to produce careful and detail-oriented work Project management experience Exc eptiona l p r oble m-s ol v in g abilitie s Excellent communication and writing skills A strong applicant should be able to use LaTeX for document preparation or be able to learn LaTeX A strong applicant should be able to use STATA or R for data analysis or be able to learn these analytic programs Education: Masters Degree Minimum experience: 3+ years Major i n e c ono m i cs, public policy, political science, sociology, psychology, quantitati ve s o c ia l sc ien c e s, o r r elate d fiel d r equi r ed . Minimum Field of Expertise: Economics or other quantitative social science.
Salary range: The annual base salary range for this position is $77,215.84 - $90,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
This is a grant funded position.
