EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM:
This position is eligible for an employee referral incentive payment of $1,000.00 (conditions apply).
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for an array of projects, grants and initiatives, collaborating with teams and stakeholders to improve internal systems, implementing new programs, evaluating practices, and providing expert technical assistance and guidance to statewide probation staff. This position will also be responsible for further developmentand management of the state-wide Reentry program; develop policies and processes related to the reduction of recidivism; train probation staff on various programmatic practices and initiatives, which align with the vision of the Division Director and Strategic Agenda.
Additionally, this position is responsible for the development of curriculum and training materials and oversees the scheduling and attendance of probation personnel at assigned trainings; and serves as a statewide subject matter expert on program topics, including evidenced-based practices, Arizona probation policies and practices, reentry and engagement strategies, understanding of behavioral health care and treatment needs of probationers, and current relevant statute and code.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree plus seven years of active experience in the field of probation, community supervision and corrections or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for the educational requirements. This position requires knowledge and understanding of adult/juvenile learning principles, practices and procedures, knowledge and application of reentry programming, risk/needs assessments, case management, program planning and evaluation.
This position also requires knowledge of AHCCCS and treatment providers and protocols in Arizona, the ability to incorporate changes in legislation, rules, administrative orders/rules, policies and procedures into training and curriculum, planning and organizational skills with abilities to include managing multiple and complex projects, and excellent communication skills.
The preferred candidate will have a master's degree in criminal justice, public administration, judicial administration, educational leadership or a related field and five years in Probation Administration or Training.
Travel level: up to 50% within the state of Arizona.

This is a Regular, Full-time, Exempt level position.
