Job Summary
Acting as the main project point of contact with client the Program Manager is responsible for coordination and direction of all personnel and activities on project site. A Program Manager is also responsible for managing a group of projects whereas a Project Manager manages individual projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and acquire a thorough knowledge of contract documents for each assigned project including but not limited to: project scope of work bid drawings and specifications contract subcontractor scopes of work and construction schedules
Solicit quotes from qualified subcontractors as required
Facilitate internal project kick-off meetings that include key participants from sales engineering fabrication and installation
Create and manage the project schedule and coordinate/verify appropriate resource scheduling for all required project tasks
Act as the point of contact for all internal and external project communication and documentation from the time of project handoff from account management through close-out
Acquire daily site progress reports from lead all team lead resources
Provide job progress reports to all internal and external stakeholders as required by contract
Facilitate ordering of materials for projects after engineering approval
Manage all project costs based on budgetary constraints and apply earned value management techniques for consistent internal and external reporting
Manage all resource/labor expenditures based on project budget throughout the project lifecycle and communicate any issues impacting profitability
Proactively manage the internal and external change order process
Verify quality of work performed by internal resources and subcontractors
Provide or schedule internal resources to conduct training to clients upon project completion.
Ensure all closeout/as-built documentation are created stored and submitted both internally and externally
Manage all project billing and invoicing requirements and coordination with finance department
Be available for project team questions/coordination based on specific project working hours/timeline
Coach supervise train and manage project team resources
Travel to various job sites required
Other duties assigned as needed
Skills and Abilities
Ability to perform manage/supervise coordinate and delegate detailed project-to-project team to meet project time scope and budget requirements.
Ability to proactively plan troubleshoot and solve technical personnel and other project related issues
Ability to understand and maintain project budgets
Ability to effectively manage all levels of project personnel and scope through time management with strict attention to detail
Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques
