Program Coordinator/Job Developer

Summary
The Improvement Association is seeking a Program Coordinator/Job Developer that will perform programmatic duties related to providing employment for TANF participants, promoting self-sufficiency, and combating poverty. He/She will monitor and evaluate the operation of the Employment for TANF Participants initiative to ensure program compliance and positive measurable outcomes are achieved. This position will coordinate with the career counselors to determine participants? readiness for job placement. Duties
Job responsibilities and duties will consist of motivating and stimulating interest in TANF participants to move toward self-sufficiency, maintaining knowledge of state and federal guidelines, completing reports as required by funding source and/or Executive Director, assist with planning onsite industry visits, guest speakers, and other employment activities for potential employment opportunities available to participants, coordinating with the Executive Director, and federal and state staff to design strategy and timetable for participants? final placement, communicating via multiple avenues, including personal visits, with employers to solicit commitments and assist in job development and placement of TANF participants, meeting with employers to discuss participants? progress to ensure quality performance, and providing transportation to worksites for participants as needed. Requirements Degree preferred Minimum requirement of completion of three college training courses with a concentration in the field of Education, Math, English, or related area. Must have teaching, counseling, or tutorial experience with adults of low socio-economic backgrounds. Must possess good verbal and written communication skill. Knowledge of labor market requirements Must possess valid chauffeur?s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
