Job Summary: We are seeking a Program Assistant to manage our office and support programming administration and communication. This position develops and maintains strong professional relationships and works collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Performs administrative duties in support of staff, student leaders, and visitors. This position will supervise and mentor 6+ student staff. May greet visitors and provide first point of contact, creating an inclusive and welcoming experience. Gonzaga Outdoors is a growing co-curricular program that focuses on getting students in the outdoors in and around the Inland Northwest to create friendships, provide technical outdoor skills, develop leaders, and instill a sense of respect and awe for the outdoors. The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position is $38,480 – $39,977 annually. The internal full salary range is $34,630 – $46,853. Minimum Qualifications: Valid drivers license and good driving record. Must be able to work in an open, sometimes noisy, fast paced environment. Minimum of one (1) year of full-time OR two years of part-time experience in office management. Ability to function independently and to complete projects with limited supervision. Manage ambiguity and collaborative decision-making structures. Have strong problem-solving skills. Show high levels of flexibility and adaptability. Excellent mentoring skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. Candidates must be computer-literate. Be able to work with social media applications and information management; and use of a range of Microsoft Office products.
