Company Overview: My Client is a reputable engineering firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions for municipal infrastructure projects. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and motivated Municipal Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join their team.
Position Overview: The Municipal Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of various municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply systems, wastewater treatment facilities, stormwater management systems, and more. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for improving public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage municipal engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses to support project planning and design decisions. Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documents in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering their professional development and growth. Conduct field inspections and construction oversight to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, surveyors, and environmental scientists to integrate engineering solutions into comprehensive project designs Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation. Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure systems, regulations, and design standards. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
