Responsibilities The Professional Development Manager drives the growth and advancement of employees within the Strategy department. This position is tasked with designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive professional development initiatives tailored to meet the evolving needs of both individuals and the organization. Working closely with department leaders, the Professional Development Manager conducts thorough assessments to identify skill gaps, learning needs, and strategic priorities. 
Additionally, the Professional Development Manager plays a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the department. By promoting engagement and participation in development activities, the Professional Development Manager empowers employees to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and achieve their career aspirations.
Responsibilities:
Assess training needs by collaborating with department leaders. Identify skill gaps and development opportunities through surveys, interviews and performance evaluations. Design and develop comprehensive professional development programs aligned with organizational objectives and employee career paths. Develop and implement metrics and evaluation methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs. Analyze feedback and performance data to continuously improve program content and delivery. Collaborate with external training vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to deliver specialized training programs when needed. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the department. *This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to one of the Mayo Clinic sites and may be required to travel up to 20%. **This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship / we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 4 years of experience. Three years of people leadership experience preferred. Related experience includes experience in market intelligence, strategic planning, client management, operations, business analytics, health care strategy, process engineering or digital health. Additional Qualifications: Masters in relevant field is preferred. Strong alignment to Mayo Clinic values. Demonstrates competencies in problem-solving and systems thinking, risk taking and innovation, collaborative leadership, executive communication, navigating ambiguity, driving results and equity, inclusion, and diversity. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating professional development programs. Demonstrates strong management skills including strategy and visioning, change management, resource management, and sound judgment. Requires broad-based human resource management experience and will contribute to recruitment, performance management and team building. Excellent interpersonal skills including presentation, negotiation, persuasion, team facilitation, and communication. Demonstrates the ability to coach and mentor team members and colleagues. Demonstrates continuous professional learning and functional area expertise. Ability to make quick and sound decisions, even under pressure. High tolerance for ambiguity and experience delivering high-quality results in challenging environments. Exemption Status
Exempt Compensation Detail
$134,888.00 - $195,624.00 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Benefits Eligible
