We are continuously developingnew answers for rail automation – often to questions that haven't been askedyet.Position Overview:Our growth has created the need for a Final Assembly Team Managerat our state-of-the-art Manufacturing campus in beautiful and affordableSacramento, CA. In this key role, you will have a tremendous impact in our highperforming production organization.You will lead and mentor adiverse and motivated team of assemblers. This is a position for someone whoenjoys being on the production floor, leading by example and creating anenvironment where everyone wins.What you will be doing:·Plan production operations, define workflow, and establishpriorities and production sequences to meet project and interdepartmentalrequirements.·Meet project targets for safety, quality, schedule, and directlabor hours.·Establish, monitor, and adjust manpower (includes hiring andpromoting), applicable equipment planning and work-order sequencing to meetproduction demands.·Facilitate positive communication with entire team on a regularbasis to keep them informed of work status, department performance, processchanges, and company policies.·Conduct bi-annual employee performance reviews including planning,monitoring, and documenting the training & development of manufacturingemployees.·Ensure production vehicles are ready for in process inspectionsfrom internal and external customer inspectors in the Final Assembly Productionarea in advance of shipping vehicles.·Minimize defect write ups and findings through the systematicelimination of root causes while driving solutions to be implemented in theupstream processes.·Drive all areas and functions such as to support in thepreparedness and readiness for vehicles to ship.What you will need to be successful:·5 years managing industrial operations.·3 years' experience in OEM capital equipment assembly operations,in a schedule and result driven, moderate volume and product mix, engineer toorder, project environment.·Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)SAP, and clear communicationWe would be impressed if you had a Bachelor's degree in Business,Operations, or Engineering.Why Siemens Mobility?·# 9 On Forbes Great Places to Work List·11 paid holidays, 18 days PTO·401K – 6% company match·Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance·Tuition reimbursement·Overtime when available·Freedom and healthy work-life balance– Health, Dental, VisionInsurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits – starting Day 1!·Solve the world's most significant problems – Be part of excitingand innovative projects.·Engaging, challenging, and fast evolving, pioneering technologicalenvironment.·Competitive total rewards package.·Opportunities to contribute your innovative ideas and get paid forthem!
