Purpose
To lead the safe, efficient and on-time production of quality material that meets customer requirements.
Motivate, mentor, train and model behavior in the production team.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below
.
General Policy
Lead team to produce quality product, on-time in accordance with production schedule.
Lead/participate in trials and customer qualifications runs to increase business.
Audit production, quality and routine preventive maintenance (start-up and shut-down PM's) to ensure that these activities are completed and documented correctly.
Assist with/lead root cause investigations for Internal and Customer Corrective and preventive actions.
Ability to make decisions based on facts.
Ability to perform all Operator & Mixer essential functions.
Ensure all production activities are performed, documented and completed to required standards of safety, completeness accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee, guide and participate in shift training of all production employees and new hires.
Interact with lab to ensure timely testing of blend properties and offline testing.
Ensure plant is clean, orderly and safe.
Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
Other duties as assigned by the Compounding Plant Manager.
Minimum Qualifications/
Education
/ Experience / Certifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
3 years manufacturing experience.
Computer data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
Able to multi-task.
Possess problem solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
Self-motivator.
Ability to operate a fork truck.
