Paper converting machine operators operate various machines which fabricate and assemble paper products such as paper bags.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow all safety protocols throughout the plantPerforms quality checks to verify product meets required specs.Observe operation of various machines to detect and correct machine malfunctions such as improper forming, glue flow, or pasteboard tension.Install attachments to machines for gluing, folding, printing, or cutting.Cut products to specified dimensions, using hand or power cutters.Place rolls of paper on machine feed tracks, and thread paper through gluing, coating, and slitting rollers.Monitor finished product as they drop from forming machines into rotating hoppers and into gravity feed chutes to prevent jamming.Adjust guide assemblies, forming bars, and folding mechanisms according to specifications, using hand tools.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred.Will need to read, write, and perform basic math.Will train but prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Quick LearnerMechanical Skills a plusADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:Proficiency in communicating issues quickly.Reliability in attendance and productivity.Good Communication Skills in general.Physical Stamina.Attention to detail.Manual Dexterity.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Lifting; a minimum of 50 lbsCarrying; a minimum of 50 lbsUse of fingers/hands to grasp product; frequentlyWalking and StandingClimbingAbility to work at a rapid paceTo Learn More About Our Company, Please VisitAmerCareRoyal/ Ross & Wallace is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
