Full job description Repack Production Manager About Twin City Foods, Inc Twin City Foods is a leading Frozen Vegetable Producer committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious, and sustainably sourced frozen vegetables to consumers worldwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Repack Production Manager.


What We're Looking For: As a Repack Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the Repack Production Operations at the Lake Odessa facility. Responsible for ensuring efficient & effective packaging of our frozen vegetables while focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and maintaining a high-quality product. Utilizing Lean principals, lead the packaging team members to optimize production workflows and minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with GMP's and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities and excellent management of the daily repack schedules; while staying organized and keen attention to detail.


Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required: Minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing industry involving production scheduling. Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the food industry or similar manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.


Must possess knowledge of packaging capabilities/volumes and a background in IQF packaging, warehousing, shipping, and DOT regulations.


Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Access. Knowledge & use of the Internet. Ability and experience in use of office equipment, including calculator, fax, copier, scanner, printer, shredder, etc.... Working knowledge of Infor (ERP) system preferred.


Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondences, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from corporate, managers, clients, and customers.


Math and Reasoning Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Required Education/Training/Certification Qualifications: High School education required. Associates or BS degree preferred. Certification in Food Safety and/or Production Management is a plus. Certification in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP, PCQI, BRC). OSHA 30 Hr. Certification. Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises the Lake Odessa Division Repack Production Supervisors, Repack Crew Leads and Repack Team Members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that all members comply with health and safety regulations and implement protocols to minimize risk of accident or injuries and all TCF PPEs, GMPs, and Food Safety policies are being followed. Manage all aspects of the frozen vegetable packaging process, including scheduling, resource allocation, and production optimization to meet the companies OTIF. Participate and/or lead Daily Management. Implement Lean strategies to streamline production processes and improve overall efficiency. Analyze and implement effective countermeasures for production KPIs. Training of all new and current employees of proper procedures; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Lead and motivate a team of packaging personnel in Lean Manufacturing, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Develops and manages repack schedules. Works with Corporate to ensure that all orders and shipments are accurate and fulfill the needs of Corporate Traffic/Sales. Tracks daily inventories and use/rotate such inventories to ensure product quality and availability. Answers questions daily on product usage and substitution. Makes recommendations to order packaging materials, along with ordering pallets, tote paper, and tube plastic. Manages and ensures adequate inventories of packaging materials. Works with Corporate Sales/QA departments to send samples as requested. Drives continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause identification, and implementation of effective countermeasures. Works closely with Corporate Packaging & Purchase Product Coordinator on label design and related dies for any new label set-up. *Selected employee will be required to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and E-Verify* Benefits of a Repack Production Manager: Competitive Wages Exempt Position Excellent Benefit Package Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.
