Job Duties:
Responsible for the management and improvement of all functions involved in the day to day activities regarding manufacturing including production, process engineering, quality, maintenance and inventory control.
Reorganization of factory layout based on lean manufacturing principles.
Responsible for setting, monitoring and achievement of improvement targets on major KPI's in line with group objectives.
Must maintain and improve facilities and equipment.
Manage all inventory functions coordinating closely with Purchasing and Customer Service.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
Provides direction, training, development and leadership to direct reports.
To ensure compliance with all Quality standards and procedures per customers' requirements.
Responsible for implementing appropriate health, safety and environmental programs.
To ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing and/or plant management.
Hands on experience with effective sustainability of lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of material systems, purchasing, MRP, BOM structure. (Knowledge of Microsoft ERP systems a plus)
