We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Management Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and operations management, with the ability to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance productivity, and implement best practices across multiple locations. This role requires extensive travel to various sites, both domestically and internationally, to provide on-the-ground support and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Project Management: Lead and manage projects focused on production improvements, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Training and Development: Train plant managers and production staff on new processes, tools, and technologies. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge transfer. Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management. Technology Integration: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment that can improve production efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the integration and implementation of these technologies. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, plant managers, and production teams. Provide regular updates on project progress and production performance. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production or operations management, preferably in a consulting role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time) to various locations, both domestically and internationally. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent project management abilities. Proficiency in production management software and tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
