Responsibilities
• Focus on one of the following areas: coating, finishing, or surfacing• Perform tasks such as clipping lenses, operating coating machines, inspecting lenses, beveling lenses, mounting lenses, edging lenses, tinting lenses, blocking lenses, fine polishing lenses, washing and drying lenses• Ensure quality standards are met in the production process• Cross-training may be provided for work in different areas
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• High mechanical aptitude• 1+ years of related work experience in manufacturing preferred• Ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment• Depth perception and manual dexterity• Strong oral and written communication skills• Excellent organizational abilities• Attention to detail• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift• Willingness to work with and around chemicals• Willingness to work in wet, dirty, or strong-smelling environments• Ability to work overtime as needed
