Working in our manufacturing plant, our Production Associates are vital to the success of our business.Your role will be to ensure our products maintain the highest level of quality our customers expect.At Associated Materials, we believe excellent results begin with you!
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
Operate equipment and tools to cut, process, and assemble window components
Use material handling equipment
Pack and label finished goods
Inspect windows and equipment and communicate any issues
Keep a clean, well-maintained workspace and complete housekeeping in your area
Maintain all safety standards
Other duties as assigned, including housekeeping and cross-training to become proficient across multiple positions and production lines.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in an assembly-line or manufacturing environment preferred but not required
Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and comprehend English language
Ability to use hand tools such as snips or chisel
Must be able to use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure
Be dependable and on-time with attendance
Be flexible and willing to learn, including cross-training and developing in otherareas in the plant
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work well with others on the team
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat.
Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
