Job summary
Assists Saw Operator in a safe manner according to Cornerstone Building Brands rules and regulationsObserves material for dimensional and other quality issuesPerforms 5S and housekeeping duties at required frequency

Responsibilities
• Assist Saw Operator with visual and gauge quality checks per work order• Move material from walking tables to metal conveyor• Assist Saw Operator with cut length measurements• Place scrap into proper container• Follow Saw Operator instructions for proper safety procedures• Wear proper PPE at all times• Ensure that material is placed into baskets in neat and orderly fashion• Ensure that load bars and cardboard strips are used properly• Assist at Stretcher Operator Station or other work stations when required• Perform 5S and housekeeping duties
Requirements
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32"• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure• Able to convert fractions to decimals• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions• Capable of using computerized equipment• Will require standing, walking, and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
