Responsibilities
• Maintaining product knowledge on John Deere and competitive brands of agricultural equipment• Appraising and evaluating used equipment for proper valuation of trades• Developing sales plans and forecasts for assigned customers• Utilizing agronomy knowledge to make recommendations and suggestions for customer's operation• Understanding precision agriculture practices and utilizing them in customer relationships• Monitoring competitor activity and reporting to management• Overseeing delivery, set-up, and operator training• Participating in field demonstrations of new equipment• Maintaining knowledge of incentive programs and financing options• Supporting Integrated Solutions and other value-added services
Requirements
• Excellent communication skills• Knowledge of current agricultural issues• Strong math skills• Outstanding negotiating skills• Competency in computerized tools and reports• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends• Excellent customer relationship skills• Preferred 3-5 years of Account Management or direct sales experience in agricultural farm equipment or related field• BS Business or agriculture-related field preferred, but not required• Must be able to safely operate equipment and lift 40 pounds
