This will a hybrid position with the expectation of being onsite in Rice Creek, Minnesota three days a week.A Day in the LifeAs a Product Engineer II - Released Product Engineering, you will own finding novel failure modes quickly for instrument returns. This complex platform of instruments requires an in-depth knowledge of how firmware and hardware work together in the ever-changing customer environment. You will own and address instrument field issues by understanding customer use across all therapies of Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health. You will use your strong understanding of the functionality of instruments to determine their impact to therapies and business processes.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Troubleshoot, develop, test, and debug systems for released products.Analyze returns and complaints from the field to determine root cause and propose technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems. Document and communicate findings to customer service.Redesign and test devices in a global regulated environment including FDA requirements.Work cross-functionally on a team including electrical and mechanical engineering functions.Analyze, update, and maintain Neuromodulation systems and processes that meet the expectations and uses of the customer, regulatory agencies, and the business.Communication and document tradeoffs, rationale, and potential solutions to released product problems.Contribute and build domain knowledge around neuromodulation medical device systems, their clinical use and application via customer and field visits, literature searches and training.Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.Foster an environment of collaboration and inclusion with cross-functional team members.< 10% travelMust Haves- Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile and on your resume.Bachelor's Degree in a technical disciplineMinimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant engineering experienceNice to HaveBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical EngineeringStrong verbal and written communicationExperience working in a regulated industryChange control process experienceExperience with external devices, including firmware, hardware, and mobile devicesAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
