As a Product Development Chemist, you will work in the laboratory as a member of automotive refinish technical development team on-site at our Allison Park, PA Plant. The chemist will report to a team leader and will perform experiment independently and communicating experimental results. The chemist will help develop new Refinish products and providing technical solutions to address needs from Refinish marketing, production and customers.
Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe, clean work area.
Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook.
Conduct experiments independently or under the direction of a senior chemist.
Independently evaluate data and reach scientifically supported conclusions.
Communicate results to supervisor and team.
Work with global development labs, research team, marketing team, production team and customers to lead projects forward.
Must be a team player, collaborative and willing to give credit.
You should have chemistry knowledge and background in coating formulations.
Qualifications B.S. or above in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Two years relevant experience in formulation.
