Details of the offer

Not all heroes wear capes — but plenty of them use toilet paper Want to challenge yourself at a purpose-led scale up AND make a difference in the world? Come join the revolootion!
Funny name, serious business We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we've contributed over $11.22 million AUD (roughly $7.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we're really good at doing good.
With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we're hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.
A bit about the role The Product Design team fosters a customer-focussed design culture that aims to deliver a thoughtful and frictionless online user experience, aligned to the direction of the business goals, objectives, and product strategy.
Ultimately responsible for our customer's experience on our DTC site, making sure it carries the customer through from discovery to purchase and sustains them as loyal advocates of Who Gives A Crap. The Product Design team love to discover, validate and deliver rapid experiments aimed at optimising the digital experience. This rapid testing is complemented with detailed UI and product work ensuring our site is progressively more accessible and delightful. The team also acts as a leader of collaboration across Digital, but also cross-functionally with teams like Creative, Marketing and New Product Development.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in Helped us design our latest Special Edition launch and roll out  by working with PM and Engineering counterparts, the Marketing team, and our broader customer experience team Collaborated with a small cross-functional squad to experiment how we can present and sell new pack sizes, got your hands dirty with Shopify and Google Optimize, and presented informed recommendations on how to best move forward. Worked with one of our design researchers to prototype a few different messaging concepts to test out with humans in a qualitative study Prepared a presentation for the product team on a topic you're passionate about, and taught us all something new Were a key player in our virtual sprints, standups, retrospectives, and other ceremonies to keep the team aligned and focused. Let's talk about you ?? You eat design for breakfast
Mmmm, design. You know the latest in systematic product design and you know Figma inside and out. Beyond systematic UI design you're creative and exploratory with an eye on digital design trends as well as bringing some solid UX skills to the table to help frame and shape the work. You definitely have strong experience with one or more ecommerce platforms (ideally Shopify but let's still talk if it's Magento or something else), and you understand and can assess the trade-offs of custom vs. out of the box approaches. But its not just executional, you're a problem solver, a tinkerer, thinker and maker. You're taking in what you're hearing from the business, from customers and from your teammates and finding new solves in your mind ready to prototype and test.
?? You love to experiment
For you, it's a mindset, something that is just the way you approach work. We love to experiment, test and research, and you should too! We're always looking for ways to create efficiencies and reduce effort, drive greater conversion and improve our user experience. So we straddle strategic work with fast hypothesis based testing. You'll need to think fast and problem solve on the spot finding ways to connect the dots between our functionality, capability and customer need.
?? You are an expert collaborator
Your work touches every part of the business - both within and beyond! - and you are highly collaborative across all teams, hubs, and levels of Who Gives A Crap. You encourage open communication and advocate for shared positive outcomes. People trust you and you're able to build a reputation as an expert as well as a teammate. You're able to clearly define a value proposition and seamlessly articulate it, generating support and buy-in from both key stakeholders and team members.
You give a crap Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!
Why should you work with us? First off, as a certified B Corp™ , we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we're in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.
We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that's why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).
Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (98%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn't be more proud of that.
Have you made it this far? If you're still reading, we think there's a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here's the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don't check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
Want a little more detail on how we think about compensation? Ok here goes…  We think carefully about compensation for every role we design and bring to life at Who Gives A Crap.

All that being said, if you don't feel the band is quite right, or if you're ruling yourself out for whatever reason, please reach out , we'd love to chat!
