Location: Virginia Beach, VA (multiple sites)
Department: Production & Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Shift: Varying Shifts/Shift Differentials; OT & On-Call as needed; Essential Personnel
Clinical Classification:  Clinical
Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

How you will contribute to LifeNet Health's success:
As a Processing Technician you will perform all aspects of processing, preservation, and storage of musculoskeletal tissues. You will work in a team environment under aseptic cleanroom conditions while performing controlled production processes. You will also perform quality assessments of tissue products and documentation.As a Processing Support Technician, you would perform all aspects of circulating and in-process documentation of tissues and equipment/materials for all processing cleanrooms in a FDA regulated environment.
These roles are critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking the donor's gifts and transitioning them to the lifesaving and health restoring allografts for patients around the globe.
What you'll do as a Processing Technician:
Perform all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols.Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.Perform post-production and/or post packaging documentation review and data entry according to current procedures and protocols.Review work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production. Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Assist supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.What you'll do as a Processing Support Technician:
Circulating support for all processing rooms which includes obtaining necessary equipment/tools/items, preparing processing materials, and preparing samples for transportPerform set-up, break-down, and terminal cleaning events for all processing rooms and cleans and inspects general areas as needed, which includes the removal and documentation of post-processing materials and forms and bio-hazardous wasteInventory and organize supplies and equipment necessary for processing.Perform environmental monitoring (touch plating of clean rooms and general areas), prepares processing materials, and orders/stocks supplies and equipment for clean rooms.Monitor temperatures and maintains specified equipment (freezers, refrigerators, and incubators) as required.What you'll bring (Minimum Requirements):
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Life Sciences, Health, Business Administration or related field preferredMust be 18 years of age or older to applyZero years of work experience is required to apply, some departments may require over 4 years of work experienceOne (1) year of experience in tissue processing, tissue recovery, manufacturing, operations, surgical technician, or closely related preferred Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
