Employer Info Our client is partnering with a company that provides solutions in water, waste, and energy that promotes sustainability. Currently, this organization is working on a large hazardous waste treatment plant project and is seeking professionals to support a complex process plant.
Job Summary Our client is currently seeking for a Process Engineer. You will assist Operations management to establish a proactive process management approach which meets all contract limits and regulatory requirements while controlling operating costs. Conducts applied studies and research, supports equipment and process troubleshooting and optimization, and carries out technical planning for capital projects.
Job Description Reviews and evaluates process performance for wastewater treatment, air pollution control, biosolids processing and storm water management systems for optimization and improvements. Performs process modeling, trends process performance, uses process management systems to establish a proactive process management approach and track and control operating costs. Performs and/or directs process optimization projects at various levels including bench and full-scale pilot. Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, design specifications, plans and schedules for projects. Calculates cost and determines feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data. Review system upgrades including instruments, controls, piping, valves, machines, and mechanical or electrical systems. Coordinates operation and maintenance to obtain optimum utilization of systems and processes. Provides field evaluations and recommends operation or maintenance modifications. Reviews and critiques capital project planning and design efforts and documents. Promotes safety practices and procedures by training employees, reporting on unsafe conditions and by filing reports on injuries. Assists in the hiring/interviewing process of department staff. Prepares Regulatory reports and submits them in a timely manner. Reports actual cost of goods sold and projects the annual cost. Skills Required Strong basic mathematics and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and process control software. Minimum five (5) years municipal wastewater treatment related experience required. Experience in process control optimization and system design preferred. Strong basic mathematics and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and process control software. Minimum five (5) years municipal wastewater treatment related experience required. Experience in process control optimization and system design preferred. Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's Degree required in Civil or Chemical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred. Strong basic mathematics and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and process control software. Minimum five (5) years municipal wastewater treatment related experience required. Experience in process control optimization and system design preferred.
