For more information, visit our website at Purpose : The Process Improvement Supervisor will assess current state performance, identify gaps, visualize and establish a plan to get to the future state, monitor progress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems. The position will support a "safety first" culture, champion Lean thinking and principles, teach , coach and drive continuous improvement through all areas of the plant, improve the outcomes of processes (safety, efficiencies, cost, customer satisfaction), and provide recommendations to key management personnel to influence change and implement improvement programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ensures compliance with all corporate and plant safety policies and procedures   Evaluates plant efficiencies and drives cost savings by identifying and facilitating process improvement projects through:  "Just Do It" improvements   Six Sigma projects   Lean Implementation projects   Assist all teams with goal-setting and tracking for all Continuous Improvement measures within the plant   Utilizes process control methodology (Six Sigma, SPC, Designed Experiments, etc...) to solve problems and improve process control and capability   Create and f acilitates training/workshops to drive cultural change.   Develop and maintain systems including performance measurements, failure costs, control systems, quality standards, product and process capability for all raw materials and finished products by utilizing such tools as statistical methods, pareto charts, flow charting , standard work, process control documents, cross training matrix, etc.   Partners with Operations and Engineering teams to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs and changes .   Coaches and mentors' personnel including Plant Staff, hourly work er s and supervision to apply correct approach using Lean tools for improvement and helps identify barriers to project success .   Establish, communicate and reinforce best practices agreed upon within the plant   Responsible for developing a 'control' process to leave completed projects to the qualified personnel to sustain.   Support the effective implementation of investment projects approved for capacity or facility expansion and upgrades   Ensures plans are in place to meet all performance indicator targets/goals   Other responsibilities as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS: University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Experience in Injection Molding is a substantial plus   Six Sigma Green Belt desired   Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing including leading Kaizen events.   Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills   The person in this role should be proficient with use of computer and software applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.    Excellent interpersonal effectiveness in order to support our team-based culture   Must possess a passion for excellence and the desire to succee d
