The Novelis Fairmont, WV team is seeking a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will be responsible to ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of safely producing finished aluminum products to the highest quality, operational, and efficiency standards at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities & Qualifications Lead and support continuous improvement methods required to sustain performance plan results through projects and tasks. Establish standards that resolve process, equipment, operations, and quality variability. Provide technical training, problem solving, and leadership to the work center personnel, maintenance, and staff. Reduce process variation and waste for manufacturing processes throughout the plant to ensure the plant is exceeding both customer requirements and internal yield/recovery, quality, reliability and efficiency objectives. Establish, improve, and maintain standard operating procedures, control plans, SPC, FMEAs and job instructions. Support root cause failure analysis around process and quality losses Support IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems and standards Identify and implement quality methods to build efficiencies and ensure customer quality requirements are consistently met Interact with customers with regard to problem solving processes when needed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Quality, Metallurgical, or related field)5 years of work experience in the field of engineering Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in related field 8 years' work experience in the area of engineering in the aluminum industry. Required Skills: Effective organizational skills and ability to work with various levels of the organization.
