You are responsible for setting clear expectations, providing continual performance feedback and outlining improvement plans. You will foster teamwork, trust and employee engagement, recognize and reward outstanding performance, as well as ensure the training necessary to achieve site objectives is conducted and supported. In addition, you will need to establish clear and strong lines of communication and engagement with peers, customers, eventual reports and management in a professional manner. This role is also expected to proactively work to reduce quality-related deviations and ensure the highest quality wafer possible is produced. You will be responsible for day-to-day performance of a work unit that performs complex tasks and you will also work closely with management, equipment support, and production, to meet company goals.Responsibilities and TasksMaintain equipment readiness and equipment efficiency, Deviation containment, Monitor OEE data, Maintain staffing, Promote teamwork, Follow all company policies and area proceduresImplement daily and weekly plans based on time, staffing, priority and build scheduleMonitor throughputs using efficiency reports to ensure goals are metDetermine origin of deviation, contain deviation, and isolate the causeMaintain required staffingDelegate projects/tasks and continually update group prioritiesCommunicate Information: Accurately relate technical information to appropriate personnelCommunicate with managers, project coordinators, productions supervisors, engineering support groupsInform engineering and production supervision of any changes in resource allocation throughout the shiftPresent and receive passdownUpdate managers on performance/disciplinary issuesPerformance Management: Understand Micron business philosophies, Establish performance plans and conduct appraisals, Provide job expectations and feedback, Set performance expectationsMaintain a positive work environmentConsistently establish, communicate and measure goalsProvide resources and support to achieve goalsProvide regular positive and constructive feedbackPromote an atmosphere of changeOptimally use performance management softwareCustomer Service: Identify internal and external customers and establish expectations for each, Develop and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships, Continually measure and improve how well expectations are metCommunicate one-on-one with customersProvide team members with a clear understanding of their roleAnalyze data from customer events, internal and externalHelp probe customers address and tackle issuesMentoring: Develop new and veteran team membersEvaluate new team member training needsDevelop and monitor the shift training planProvide continuous training supportEnsure that all training responsibilities are metImplement the certification program in accordance with certification guidelinesEnsure team members required certifications are up-to-dateHandle training requestsDevelop Leads and TrainersContinuous Improvement: Apply statistical methods and preventive measures to understand and correct variation, Promote efforts to improve, Identify and promote team member improvements, Conceptualize improvementsBenchmark for continuous improvementEncourage incremental changes that lead to major improvementsReinforce the need for contribution of ideas from every team memberProvide an environment that encourages suggestions and feedbackPromote exchange of knowledgeEducationBachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferredEngineering, Electrical, ElectronicsScienceBusiness ManagementExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in any of the following:Semiconductor manufacturingSemiconductor Probe, Knowledge base of tester operations and metrology equipmentSemiconductor environment leadershipAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
