SAIC has an opening for a motivated, career, and customer-oriented  Principal Science and Technology Advisor to provide S&T technical analysis services support onsite with the Army Futures Command (AFC) Cross-Functional Team (CFT) located in Fort Moore, GA. This work establishes the transformation of future systems. We are supporting the enterprise technology development solutions at the Enterprise level for multiple signature modernization efforts.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:  Working in collaboration with CFT personnel to provide advice and recommendations on current and emerging technologies aligned with CFT priorities Working across multiple Offices and Organizations to identify and define needs Providing support to the AFC Headquarter Systems Engineering and Architecture staff. Identifying and defining future capability and interoperability needs Identifying TRLs and MRLs of potential technology solutions Assess applications of aligned manufacturing technologies Developing strategies in support of Department of Defense (DoD) technology developments Assessing the performance of current and future technologies Prepare briefings for senior decision makers. Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and high-level technology applications for development of system requirements. Provide technical support to government points of contacts. Collaborate with development contractors, and customer forums. Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations. Develop assessments and briefings to a variety of audiences; conveys information in crisp, articulate manner. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline and nine (9) years or more experience; Four (4) years' additional experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.  A Master's degree in a STEM field can substitute for five (5) years of experience. DAU coursework leading to a DAWIA certification is preferred. Completion of the Capability Developers Course and experience as a Capability Developer is preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI; US Citizenship required. REQUIRED SKILLS: Expert-level proficiency with use of technology development trend analysis to support senior level enterprise decision making Experience with rapid prototyping Ability to recommend enterprise technology tradeoffs, impacts, and advancement Proven experience in development and use of trade analysis for system, prototype or proof of concept development Experience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioning Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment Strong oral and written communication skills Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: DAWIA Level II certification in a SPRDE acquisition career field Proven experience with technical fundamentals in existing Army program (e.g. ground vehicles, air, missile defense, soldier systems) Working knowledge of the PPBES process and the Acquisition Life Cycle to include POM and SPAR Mid-Tier Acquisition, SBIRs, STIR, OTAs and other funding vehicles for acquisition pathways Prior experience in support of the US Army Experience with the Army Capabilities Integration and Development System (ACIDS)/ Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
