Position Title: Principal Product Manager
Reports To: Interim Chief Product Officer
Location: Remote, United States
Compensation: $215,000 - $250,000 base salary plus bonus and equity
About Us:
Established in 2015 as a fully remote organization by former NSA cyber operators, we were founded on a straightforward principle: to make hackers work for every inch of their access.
In today's digital landscape, cyber-attacks target entities of all sizes, not just large corporations with sophisticated security measures. At [Company Name], we prioritize safeguarding small to midsize businesses—the backbone of our economy—against these threats. Utilizing our acclaimed security platform and a team of expert human threat hunters, we intercept hidden threats that evade traditional security tools. Our dynamic products, including Managed EDR, MDR for Microsoft 365, and Managed Security Awareness Training, form the frontline defense for businesses of every size.
Join us in the pursuit of securing businesses against cyber threats!
About the Role:
We are assembling a product management team to spearhead our product strategy and are seeking an experienced product management leader to join our expanding team. As a Principal Product Manager at our company, you will serve as a "player-coach," leading and steering the success and growth of our new SIEM product.
In this role, you will drive the vision, objectives, and, in collaboration with other departments, the implementation of a SIEM offering tailored to keep SMBs and mid-market customers secure online with advanced capabilities typically reserved for large enterprises. You will work closely with the company's founders, engineering leads, support, sales, marketing teams, and fellow Product Managers.
To excel in this position, you must blend strong business acumen with technical expertise to connect customer business needs with evolving threat landscapes. Comfortable engaging with customers, prospects, and industry analysts, you will articulate our value proposition effectively. Additionally, you must demonstrate a track record of collaborating closely with engineering teams and translating business objectives into technical terms.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the product team and relevant stakeholders to define the vision and strategy for the SIEM product, ensuring clarity on its business value and trajectory.
Provide management, coaching, and leadership to future product management staff working on SIEM and contribute to organizational enhancement initiatives as part of the PM leadership team.
Conduct market trend analysis and competitive research to inform strategy, pricing, and product roadmap decisions.
Translate ambiguous client needs into innovative solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Partner with designers, engineers, and architects to develop detailed business requirements, epics, and user stories shaping product specifications and architecture.
Prioritize features based on alignment with broader product strategy, initiatives, and market demands.
Act as a key contributor throughout the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
Drive product roadmap and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing, sales, and executive teams.
Facilitate product launches and gather feedback from customers to refine product offerings.
Serve as a liaison between engineering, senior leadership, and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical information into layman's terms and vice versa.
Lead high-level strategic initiatives while remaining hands-on as needed, contributing to product innovation and growth.
Collaborate with design teams and engineering to develop mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for new product features.
Manage user experience testing to gain insights into customer usage patterns and preferences.
Provide product metrics, including conversion rate, churn rate, and monthly recurring revenue, to track and analyze product strategy success.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in a product management role with previous responsibility for SIEM products.
Mid-market experience is highly advantageous.
Proven success in shaping longer-term vision and strategy that outperforms competitors.
Experience leading product innovation, ideation, delivery, and launch.
Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting epics and stories that align engineers with desired outcomes.
Familiarity with products delivered via AWS or other cloud environments.
Creative thinking abilities coupled with critical analysis skills.
Proficiency in G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
Perks & Benefits:
100% remote work environment since our inception in 2015.
Generous paid time off policy including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays.
12 weeks paid parental leave.
Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans.
401(k) with 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution.

Stock options for all full-time employees.
One-time $500 reimbursement for home office setup or upgrade.
Annual education and professional development assistance allowance.
$75 USD/month digital reimbursement.
Access to Udemy and BetterUp platforms for coaching and personal/professional growth.
Diversity & Inclusion:
At our company, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusivity where every team member is valued, empowered, and respected. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other legally protected status.
