Our client is seeking an Engineer Principal for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Richland, WA. As an Engineer Principal, you will perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs to support operations, systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments. Your role will involve providing technical leadership, innovative problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Key responsibilities include: Conducting highly complex engineering analyses and designs using advanced engineering methods, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Serving as an advisor and providing technical counsel on specialized or unique engineering requirements. Providing technical leadership and training on complex projects, including mentoring other engineers. Initiating the development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives. Identifying potential problems and initiating corrective actions in accordance with established processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eight years of engineering experience, plus one diverse assignment; OR a high school diploma or GED and a PE license obtained by an accredited examination, plus eight years of engineering experience and one diverse assignment. Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and theories, with the ability to solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses. Advanced technical knowledge of related disciplines. Ability to maintain current knowledge of industry developments and applications.
Desired:
Two diverse assignments are preferred. SRO or Plant Certification is desirable. PE license is preferred. Experience with Medium Voltage switchgear, 4kV electrical bus structures, advanced relay and protection is desired. Experience in Nuclear design processes and familiarity with the Standard Design Process and Digital Design Process are plusses.
