TITLE : Principal Engineer II
LOCATION : Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY : Build and document configurations for various networking hardware platforms. Perform troubleshooting of network products and solutions to resolve customer impacting issues. Provide detailed designs and collaborate on solutions for network infrastructure. Develop and document architectures, topologies, hardware, and software for complete network configurations. Evaluate new products and technologies. Perform network troubleshooting and problem resolution; and develop and document technical standards. Implement approved methods of procedures and assist in designing corporate standards. Support the initial launch of new products and services. Develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement. Support network planning, configuration, and optimization; and support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Design networks and install and deploy networking solutions, including use of the following routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, or 802.1q. Configure and troubleshoot operating systems, including Cisco and Juniper platforms. Compose technical documentation for platforms, solutions, and configurations. Support multi-vendor IP network, including use of at least two of the following: multicast video delivery, Voice over IP, or MPLS services; and network security, including protection of at least two of the following: network assets, access controls, or firewalls.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience: designing networks and installing and deploying networking solutions, including use of at least three of the following routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, or 802.1q; configuring and troubleshooting operating systems, including Cisco and Juniper platforms; composing technical documentation for platforms, solutions, and configurations; in a multi-vendor IP network, including use of at least two of the following: multicast video delivery, Voice over IP, or MPLS services; and in network security, including protection of at least two of the following: network assets, access controls, or firewalls. Remote work permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $148,699 .

The pay for this position has a salary range of $148,699.00 to $220,000.00 . The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
